Purr & Nudge is an independent browser rules adaptation of RyanAndrewMoore/boop-react, under the GNU General Public License version 3. Original upstream author: Ryan Andrew Moore. This edition adds a rewritten flat-board rules engine, a local computer opponent, explicit graduation choices, eight-piece promotion, hints, undo, keyboard controls, three practice positions, local saves, and an original visual interface.

The tabletop game boop was designed by Scott Brady. This independent adaptation is not affiliated with or endorsed by its designer or publisher.

This edition is served as readable, unminified source: engine.js, app.js, style.css, and the page source of index.html. You may study, modify and redistribute the code under GPL-3.0. Changes made October 30, 2026.

Artwork

The locally bundled cat atlas is original GPT-generated artwork: apricot and slate-blue kittens and adult cats, painted in a cohesive gouache style. All gameplay images are local. No upstream illustrations or tabletop assets are used.
